Academic Concerns

Students are able to set up individual planning times with the counselors.  Individual planning consists of activities that help all students plan, monitor, and manage their own learning.

  • Conduct classroom guidance lessons and activities related to academic education and planning.
  • Assist students in making transitions from grade to grade.
  • Advise students in academic planning and course selection.

There are responsive services that meet the immediate needs and concerns of students whether these needs or concerns require counseling, consultation, referral or information.  This component is available to all students and is often student-initiated.

  • Provide consultation services to teachers and paraprofessional staff members.
  • Access appropriate school and community resources and referrals when needed.
