Welcome back to Benzie Central High School for the 2009-2010 school year. We are excited about the new year and all we accomplished in the previous year. As many of you know we have made improvements in how we communicate with parents and students. We are using two systems in order to achive this; Power School and Alert Now. We would also like to encourage community members to make use of the district and building web sites. It is our intention to keep accurate and up to date information that students and parents can access. If you have any input on how we can better serve our students and parents please feel free to contact the high school office.
You have already experienced our message system called ALERTNOW. This system relies on accurate telephone numbers so it is important for us to have up to date information. We have unpdated information using the data that you have provided and will be updating this data again this fall as studnts return to their buildings. This system wil be used to send out emergency announcements, school delay/cancellations etc. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the high school office.
We have changed over to a new student management system called POWERSCHOOL. This is an internet based system that will allow parents to monitor their students progress and be informed about what is being taught in each class. All parents recieved a PASSWORD AND LOGIN that allowed then to log in and monitor their student. It is imperitive that we have accurate demographic information for all of our students so the system will be effective.
