Mrs. Bishop


Mrs. Shannon Bishop has been the resource room teacher at Lake Ann Elementary since 2008.  Prior to teaching at Lake Ann,  Mrs. Bishop taught  the ESL program for 4 years at  Benzie Schools.  She received  her BA degree in English literature and elementary education  from Grand Valley State University, and a special education endorsement K-12 from Ferris State University.

Mrs. Bishop grew up in a large family in Saginaw,  married her high school boyfriend and followed their dream of moving up north.  She resides with her husband and three children in the Traverse City area.

Winter and summer activities are equally important to Mrs. Bishop as she enjoys all types of physical activities  that get her moving outdoors. She enjoys being an active participant in many cultural, artistic, and historical experiences offered here in Northern Michigan.  She believes Benzie County is the most beautiful of  all northern counties and feels the bike trail is the best in Michigan!o
