Matt Olson
Mr. Matt Olson has been with Benzie Central since August of 2005. Mr. Olson returned to his alma mater after graduating from Central Michigan University with a BS in Education. He majored in history and minored in English. He is currently working on his Masters in Humanities through Central Michigan University. Prior to teaching at Benzie, he taught for one year in Traverse City, at East Junior High.
Mr. Olson lives in Honor with his wife, Andi, who is also a Benzie Central alumnus. Mr. Olson enjoys playing, coaching, and refereeing sports. He is one of the assistants on the Varsity football team, and is entering his tenth year as a registered basketball official. Mr. Olson can also be found playing frisbee or dock-jumping with his Australian Shepherd, Stella.
Mr. Olson teaches English 11 and College Prep English at BCHS.
