Mindy Clawson
Mrs. Clawson joined Benzie Central in the fall of 2007. She received her B.A. in English from Grand Valley State University in 2004. Currently, Mrs. Clawson teaches English at BCHS -- including: Creative Writing, Science Fiction & Fantasy, English I, and Honors English I.
Mrs. Clawson grew up in Belding, a small town about 45 minutes northeast of Grand Rapids. In her spare time she enjoys reading, writing, photography, video editing, and spending time outdoors. Before coming to Benzie, she taught 10th and 11th grade English at Benton Harbor Public Schools.
She now lives with her husband Romeldo in Beulah. Romeldo has has an extensive art background: from painting on canvas, airbrush art, building sculptures, to art direction and video editing. During the second semester, Romeldo is the advisor for the Benzie Video Club. Meetings are held after school one day a week in Room 227.
