Mr. Wassa
Mark Wassa joined Betsie Valley in 1998. He received his college education from Alma College before earning a Masters Degree in Education at Aquinas College. Since 2000, Mr. Wassa’s classroom has been raising Chinook salmon from eggs and releasing them into the Betsie River. Mr. Wassa spends his free time playing outside, training for his next marathon, or laughing. Someday when he grows up, he hopes to buy an Airstream and pull it around the Southwest with his wife Anna.
